Heritage Open Days and Exhibition 9th and 10th September

Heritage Open Days and Exhibition

Saturday 9th September  2pm-5pm

Sunday 10th September 12pm-4pm

As part of our 175th anniversary celebrations, St. Mary's will be part of the annual national 'Heritage Open Days' weekend when historic buildings are open to the public. The History Team at St. Mary's are busy putting together material for a display of parish history to be housed in the church.

We are particularly interested in displaying pictures, documents and artefacts reminding us of life in the parish in days gone by, especially where there is a local, family or other personal connection with a story, anecdote or reminiscence to be told.  As the saying goes: "all contributions gratefully received!"

In the first instance we will be very grateful for responses by email to eventsshawchurch@gmail.com providing the following information and we can take it from there:

Description of your exhibit.

Your connection/story/reminiscence.

Contact telephone number.

Thank you so much for joining in.
